7:05 p.m. The Wastewater Committee invited us to see the Topograhical map of the Allen Property which the Town of Amenia is interested in purchasing.  Questions arose regarding the stream to the west of the property and its effects along with discussion of the amount of monies it will need to have this project come to fruition.  It is of importance that the Rail Trail be connected in some form.  Discussion of taxes and potential growth were addressed.

7:50 p.m.  The 2nd of Public Meeting for the Recreation Master Plan opened.  Arlene Ialiano questioned the need of the intermunicipal committee.  Discussions regarding the needs of our community  along the Commission is waiting for the results of the survey before making any decisions.  Orpha Thomas requested handicap accessibility.  Closed public meeting 8:15 p.m.

8:16 p.m. Opened the Recreation Commission monthly meeting.  Tom Werner asked about the survey – John Ryan is calculating the results now.  The remainder of the surveys will be sent to Dover and a reminder to get your survey in will air on channel 22.

Ken Pomeisl created a clear eye on the budget.  Thank you Ken.  This gave the commission an opportunity to really see where the money comes and goes.  Comments were made on some line items and all voted unanimously to approve.

Dugout update:  Hopefully, with help from volunteers, the dugout will be completed in September.

Mike Murnane made motion to adjourn and seconded.

Next Recreation Commission meeting will be October 4, 2005.

Respectfully submitted,

Pete Clair
