Amenia Recreation Commission Minutes March 7, 2006

Recreation Chair, Pete Clair was absent Tom Werner was the acting Chair.

Attendance: Mike Murnane, Frankie O'Connell, Orpha Thomas, Charlene

Pollinger, Linda Gregory

Recreation Director, Ken Pomeisl

Town Board Liason, Roger Russell and Vicki Doyle.

Meeting was called to order at 7:05 p.m. Tom made motion to accept minutes from February 22, 2006 meeting. All approved.

Intermunicipal Agreement - Tom to schedule meeting to discuss insurance and implementation.

Concession Stand - The opening went out for bid and the closing date is March 15^th. We will review resumes and make decision at our March 21, 2006 meeting.

Spring/Summer Pamphlet - Ken would like to see the information of programs out to the public - Linda will design a pamphlet for the boards' review.

Programs: Girls Softball - Ken is working on

Ballroom dancing - Linda stated it should be begin at the end of March, will know exactly when on March 21^st meeting.

Chess Club - Calsi's store - Friday nights at 7:00 p.m.

Easter Egg Hunt - scheduled for April 9, 2006 starting at 2:00 p.m. Ken to put on website and TV Committee to meeting 3/14/06 at 3 p.m. to stuff eggs!!! Fishing Derby - Linda to ask Lions Club if they are still doing if not the Amenia Fish and Game would like to! Linda to report back on 3/21/06.

Dugout/Pavillion - Linda presented to the Board the materials list for the 2 last dugouts and the Pavillion. Discussion occurred and Frankie O'Connell made motion to use the cell tower monies (25,000) to complete project. Unanimously approved. Tom Werner will be asking the Town Board to sanction.
