Amenia Recreation Commission March 21, 2006

Attendance: Tom Werner, Frankie O'Connell, Charlene Pollinger, Mike Murnane, Linda Oregon/ and Peter Clair. Town Liason: Roger Russell, Recreation Director: Ken Pomeisl

Motion made by Tom Werner to accepted 3/7/06 minutes seconded by Mike Murnane. Minutes were accepted.

Intermunicpal Recreation: Tom Werner stated there will be a meeting on 3/29/06 to discuss further. He will follow up next meeting.

Concession Stand: The Commission reviewed the 3 applicants for the position and decided that Pete will call the O'Dells to see if they are still available. Discussion over charging the rentee ensued and Mike Hayes will do contract.

Hot Water Heater: Ken Pomeisl will work with Bob Brady to complete job.

Fishing Derby: Tony Robert, Amenia Fish and Game and Lori Hale, Lions President will discuss possibly doing a joint derby or helping in some way.

Easter Egg Hunt - scheduled for April 9th and the eggs are ready!

Dugout/Pavillion: The Town Board approved that $25,000 come from the Parks and Recreaton Budget line to support the materials for the project. Pete to contact Palumbo block for estimate.

Fencing: Pete will meet with fencing companies to get proper fencing for fields. Ballroom Dancing: Is scheduled for April 18-May 23 at the Amenia Elementary School Tuesday evening from 6-8p.m. Fee for 6 week session is $120.00 per person Tennis Lessons - Cami Euvrard will be teaching tennis lessons at the Webutuck High School Courts 2:30 -6:00 p.m. Monday-Wednesday-Friday starting 3/27/06. Fee for 4 week session is $40.00/1 hour sessions. Girls Softball - T.J. Campion will be coaching 9-12 year old girls..more to follow.

Recreation Master Plan - Board feels it isn't as complete as we need. Revisions were

discussed.

Mike Murnane made motion to adjourn and Tom Werner seconded. 9:06 p.m.
