Mr. Nelligan
said he was upset that there was a two minute time limit at last weeks workshop meeting. He said he felt that decisions were being made by a
few individuals and not by the entire board.

said that she is concerned with the issue of speeding in the hamlets of Amenia and
Wassaic. She added that it is not safe for
pedestrians.
Taconic DDSO-
John Mizerack
Mr. Mizerack
introduced himself to the Town Board as Director of Taconic DDSO.
He said he
was in attendance for public relations purposes and would like to discuss a few items
about the state campus. He said that the
campus is 75 years old and consists of about 50 buildings.
Mr. Mizerack said there
have been rumors that they house youthful sex offenders or juvenile delinquents and that
this is not true. He said that they have about
190 consumers that live there is about 643 consumers that live in houses in the 5 county
region. He said that they can house up to 250
consumers . He said some of the buildings are
in disrepair because of asbestos issues but the campus is still considered to be a 24 hour
/7 day a week facility that will not be closing any time soon.

Doyle said that the Town might be interested in the sewage treatment facility and its
capabilities.

responded that would be an entirely different department.

Carroll said that a section of the sidewalk in Wassaic has caved in and the Town has
contacted Dave Luther to see if a retaining wall can be placed in this area and shrubs
planted in this section when the new sidewalks are put in.
